Documents Required

Mandatory Requirements

Visa Application Form

• Duly completed and signed application form (Appendix 9.5) in English.

Passport Photos

• One recent passport-sized colour photograph (35mm x 45mm) with a light background.

Valid Passport

• At least two blank pages and issued within the last 10 years.
• Valid for at least three months beyond departure from the Schengen area.

UK Residency

• Original & copy of a valid UK Residence Permit or UK eVisa printout with a share code.

Investment-Related Employment Documents

• Employment contract confirming the applicant’s role in the investment project.
• Prior approval for group employment (issued to the employer).
• Certificate of agreement or support acceptance from the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Economic Affairs.
• Proof of legal relationship of employment (preliminary agreement or other legal confirmation).

Proof of Finance

• Recent UK bank statements covering at least 3 months.
• Employer-issued proof of income or tax authority document confirming earnings.

Proof of Accommodation in Hungary

• Lease agreement, property ownership proof, or employer confirmation of accommodation.
• If the employer provides accommodation on-site at the investment, a government permission document from the competent authority must be attached.

Health Insurance

• Proof of comprehensive health insurance coverage for the stay in Hungary.

Proof of Exit from Hungary

• Confirmed return ticket or sufficient funds to purchase a return ticket.

Important Notes

• Incomplete Applications
  • Any missing documents may result in processing delays or application rejection.
• Translation of Documents
  • Documents not in English must be officially translated before submission.
• Additional Requirements
  • The consulate reserves the right to request further documents or conduct an interview, which may impact processing time.
• Visa Validity
  • The visa cannot be issued for a period longer than the validity of the passport.

Photo Specifications

Please provide one recent colour photograph (not more than six months old) that meets the following requirements:

• Background: Taken against a light (white or off-white) background to ensure clear visibility and contrast.
• Quality & Clarity: The image must be sharp, in focus, and of high quality, with no ink marks, creases, or damage.
• Facial Features:
  • The applicant must have a neutral expression (non-smiling).
  • Eyes must be fully open and clearly visible (no reflections from glasses).
  • No sunglasses, hats, caps, or head coverings, except for religious or ethnic reasons.
• Size & Composition:
  • The photo must be 35–40mm in width.
  • The head and top of the shoulders must be visible, with the face occupying 70–80% of the photograph.
• Printing Requirements:
  • The photograph must be printed on standard photographic paper (camera print).
  • Must be attached to the Visa Application Form using glue or a paperclip (staples are not allowed).

If the photograph does not meet these requirements, the visa application will be considered incomplete, and the applicant may be required to take new photographs at the visa application centre.
